Mold in an attic

Insulation is great in an attic.  Except when it covers up the soffit vents.  Over time, the lack of air movement in the attic, combined with the condensation caused by the temperature differences between the attic and the outside air, creates a suitable environment for mold to develop.  You can plainly see the mold on the roof sheeting in the before picture.

Enter SERVPRO of Bedford Park / Burbank, with a trained and experienced crew.  They reworked the insulation to clear the vents, removed the mold from the sheeting, cleaned up the affected areas, and sprayed an antimicrobial throughout the attic to help prevent mold from establishing again.
