Securing site after a fire

While putting out a basement fire, the firefighters had to vent the heat and smoke out of the home by knocking out several basement windows.  After our assessment, SERVPRO Bedford Park/Burbank secured the site from secondary damages (wind/rain), as well as animals, by boarding up the broken windows.  The customer's contents were safe, thereby giving the homeowner ample time to go through items that can be saved from those to be thrown away or donated.
